Re: Building on Ubuntu, current Git source

Just followup: I did manage to get it to fully build and install by reverting the CMakeLists for AppCSXCAD to the 0.35v version. It's still unclear why it was throwing errors because the differences are very minor. Maybe the library reference order? Or maybe should have installed vtk8 (only had 5 an...

Re: Building on Ubuntu, current Git source

Progress- 1) saw the bug report issue with the same problem on github. Sorry for the duplication. 2) managed to compile QT5 based the directions here: https://wiki.qt.io/Install_Qt_5_on_Ubuntu. Then added the following to the AppsCad CMakeList.txt include_directories("~/Qt5.12.0/5.12.0/gcc_64/lib") ...

Building on Ubuntu, current Git source

Has anyone else run into a similar error building from the current git source on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS? I am able to build 0.35 with no problem. Tried many different apt-get installs to ensure all dependencies are there. I'm thinking it might be a library alias or path issue. I was hoping to play with so...

Obtaining simulation termination reason

Thorsten? Quick random question - is there an easy existing way to obtain the energy remaining at simulation termination (in octave/matlab), or in general the reason for termination? I'm running a simple binary mutation on a structure, and some sims simply don't converge. I'd like to throw those out...

Re: Release Candidate for v0.0.35

Yep, looks like a mesh error. Typo had every single item set to the same priority. Sorry for the false alarm!

Re: Release Candidate for v0.0.35

Well, it certainly wouldn't surprise me if the problem is in my meshing.... Will post the files in a day or two if I don't figure it out. Unfortunately, my scripts and structure creation depends on quite a few helper functions. Perhaps I should comment & clean before inflicting them on someone else....

Re: Release Candidate for v0.0.35

No problems thus far on windows - drop in replacement. Might have found a bug, though. I've found that I can never have more than 14 items of a particular type of primitive. Adding any more than that results in a 'Warning: Unused primitive (type: Box) detected in property: patch!'. Not sure if it's ...
