Re: Split-Ring Resonator

substrate.mue = 1.26e-9; % magnetic permeability "Mue" in openEMS is the relative value, thus it should never be (much) smaller than one! This will already kill your timestep. Other reasons may be that you mesh is too dense for your choosen frequency. Sir how can we draw the ring structure at the c...

Re: Frequency Selective Surface

Here a square patch is printed on a substrate. At two corners a circular disc is made and two feed lines are provided which is partially sandwiched between ground and patch. Two feed lines are connected with these two disks through the plated-through holes .How the feed should be given? Can I use MS...

Frequency Selective Surface

I need to design a Frequency Selective Surface. How should I get the tetrahedral shape of metal patch? Should I proceed with AddPolygon? The proposed structure is attached here. Screenshot 2020-10-21 095847.jpg How should I resonate the FSS at 3.5GHz and 4.9GHz so that it acts as a transmitter at 3....

Intersecting the port with metal parts is not a good idea as the port will not be able to excite a "nice" electric field. But what exactly happens depends strongly on what you are doing...
