Re: Horn Antenna Tutorial

What!? Which plots are linear? I found "dB" axis titles there, is that wrong? Anyway, E-plane side-lobes are ridiculously strong, minimums are too close in angular position, matching is close to no matching. And somehow the lumped port can not excite the feeding waveguide well. Maybe I was wrong her...

Re: Calling AppCSXCAD without halting the script.

Thank you. I'll try that. But that is just as a common sense "CSXGeomPlot" is titled as a typical plot function (not a dialogue or tool), but does not act as a typical plot. OK, this is a simple workaround for Windows. in /OpenEMS/matlab/CSXGeomPlot.m replace command = [AppCSXCAD_bin ' --disableEdit...

Re: Concrete material configuration?

I know that. Just guessed, maybe someone already have the data or code.
Now I use simple dielectric with eps=4.5, cond=0.7

FATAL CRASH/REBOOT on a big problem

I was trying to see a pulse propagation in an environment (our lab), but can not start the simulation. The solver either crashes, where the most often is the stack error. When I try to reduce the mesh, system reboot happens. The same time small antenna near2far field problems compute well. So, it se...

Concrete material configuration?

Does anyone have an idea how to configure a Concrete material when simulating office environment?

Calling AppCSXCAD without halting the script.

I want to call AppCSXCAD while the script is proceeding to computation and other reports.

But when I use CSXGeomPlot([Path '/' CSX]), the script is halted untill I close the AppCSXCAD window. How can I avoid that?

Re: OpenEMS multi-processor performance

P.S. If you need HT for parallel tasks responsiveness, in SINGLE(ONLY) CPU system you can apply AMD scheduling patch for Windows 7 in order for the scheduler to assign cores in 1-3-2-4 order, like on AMD Buldozzer, instead of normal 1-2-3-4, where 2&4 are HT clones of 1&3. (!)This DOES NOT work in M...

Re: OpenEMS multi-processor performance

1) HT is not desired in most streamed math computations. It is purely logical, multiple-access nonuniform-code CPU optimization. In order for anything FPU based to operate, HT should be disabled if not avoided by the code. 2) Every MP system has problems with inter-CPU communication delays, especial...

Re: Horn Antenna Tutorial

Oh, it gives completely CRAZY results. First, the pattern is strange... Then the example itself. Examples are meant to be clear and correct. And in that one there are HOLES in the horn. Next, there is a-side mistaken with b-side, so a wrong mode is used. Then, I am not a specialist in FDTD and analy...

Exporting geometry to ParaView (VTK or other format)

Since in v0.0.33 export to VTK from AppCSXCAD does not work, is there other way to exporting geometry for combining with field reports/radiation patterns? Maybe exporting to h5 and then converting to VTK would work? Unfortunately these functions are not documented yet, so I did not get how to make t...
