I'm trying to simulate a transition from a wide microstrip line at substrate height A to a thin microstrip at substrate height B. For some reason, the S params lead me to believe there is an DC open. I cannot for the life of me, figure out why. Can anyone help me out?
I've tried connecting the two grounds with "vias", tried conducting sheets, PEC, nothing seems to have any effect.I'm a bit unsure about the lumped ports. Should they have thickness 0 in the direction of propagation?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
