Re: Designing a HF underwater antenna

Hi, this is actually not that difficult. All six spatial directions of the simulation box may simply be assigned to MUR or better PML as boundary condition. The lower part of the simulation box can then be completely filled with a cuboid using AddBox. This must be assigned to a small priority and a ...

I don't think that SMD inductors (with any reasonable value) do exist. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Hi all,
several years ago there was already a similar discussion here ;)

Re: Bug fix for Qt problem

Hi,
the CSXGeomPlot test version from February 9th has been downloaded quite a few times.
Is there any feedback, is the QT5 problem solved with it?
Anyway, here is a small update, mainly it concerns only line 46.

Re: Bug fix for Qt problem

Additionally can you tell me if just removing the env variables solves it or not (with and without the above added line)
Hi Thorsten,
I didn't have success in any of the three cases you mentioned, unfortunately.

Re: Bug fix for Qt problem

Hi, it's true, I have several versions installed in parallel. That's why the paths look a bit unusual on my end. It is also true that my code snippet is not entirely self-explanatory ;) Well, here is a CSXGeomPlot test version where the Octave QT5 path gets only temporarily replaced by the openEMS Q...

Re: Bug fix for Qt problem

At least that's how it works for me now: %View_CSX %oe_ver='v0035-62'; oe_ver='v0035-65'; old_qt_plugin_path=getenv('QT_PLUGIN_PATH'); setenv('QT_PLUGIN_PATH',['E:\\p\\openEMS\\' oe_ver '\\qt5\\plugins']); oldpath=addpath(['E:\p\openEMS\' oe_ver '\matlab']); [CSX_xml, CSX_path]=uigetfile ("*.xml") C...

function that restores structures from the xml-file

Dear all, I am just wondering if there is a function that restores structures like FDTD, CSX, mesh, port and nf2ff from the xml-file. This would be a kind of counterpart to 'WriteOpenEMS' and very useful for a later post-processing. If the simulation folders still exist, you don't want to have to ca...

Re: No output when running simulation

Hi,
I can confirm this on Windows. It seems to be a problem with the latest version, as v0.0.35-42 provides the full output and v0.0.35-62 does not.
Best regards
