Re: Gaussian excitation function

Hi Sebastian.
I read the gauss_excitation_test.m and find following code

Code: Select all

sigma = 1/sqrt(8/9)/pi/fc;
t0 = sqrt(18)/sqrt(8/9)/pi/fc;
Is it OK to modify the sigma and t0 as wish? I think they define the duration and position of the pulse.
Best regards.

Re: Meanings of data in vtk frequency domain dump

Hi, Thorsten. Thanks for your quick reply.
Yeah, the p=xxx.vtr add the exp(iwt) factor to the static field and show the propagation of the f1 wave.
It is really great.
Best regards.

Meanings of data in vtk frequency domain dump

Hi. I made a E field Dump in frequency domain with %% dump box CSX = AddDump(CSX, 'nearfield_f1', 'DumpType', 10, 'Frequency', f1); start = [gridmesh.x(1), gridmesh.y(1), gridmesh.z(1)]; stop = [gridmesh.x(end), gridmesh.y(end), gridmesh.z(end)]; CSX = AddBox(CSX, 'nearfield_f1', 0, start, stop); an...

Re: Surface with a function(x,y)

Hi, wouldn't a polygon ( LinPoly ) do the trick? Just use enough edge sample points? regards Thorsten Yeah, this AddLinPoly() is fantastic. I was struggling with the AddPolyhedron() to build a hexagonal prism (with 24 triangle faces :oops: ), and definitely the AddLinPoly() is better. However, I st...

Re: Different results on different computers

Yeah, it works, also the AddSphericalShell(). Thanks for your quick reply. It looks like the new vtk version caused this problem.

Re: Different results on different computers

Thank you for the excellent program. I installed the 0.0.33 version and the update_openEMS.sh script worked smoothly. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- | openEMS 64bit -- version v0.0.33-20-gadd2f2d | (C) 2010-2016 Thorsten Liebig <thorsten.liebig@gmx.de> GPL lic...

Re: Release Notes on openEMS v0.0.31

Hi
I found the “LIBS += -lmpi -lmpi_cxx” in openEMS.pro line: 102, so I commented it. I thought it may cause an error without MPI being installed, but I've not tested that case.

Regards.

Re: Release Notes on openEMS v0.0.31

Hi, I used to compile the openEMS manually according to the order in update script. I try the automatic installation on my linux today. 1. In "update_openEMS.sh" change the qmake-qt4 to qmake. (I only have qmake. :-)) 2. In "QCSXCAD.pro" comment the -lvtkParallel line and add the DEFINES += TIXML_US...

Re: Release Notes on openEMS v0.0.31

Thanks for your excellent work. I've installed the software onto my gentoo/linux box from source code. I added DEFINES += TIXML_USE_STL in the file openEMS-Project/QSCXCAD/QCSXCAD.pro, or the compiling of AppQSCXCAD would get an error. And I haven't got the mpi, so I also delete the -lvtkParallel in...
