Well maybe the MacPorts does not include the CSXCAD matlab files... But I recommend to switch to a proper operating system :D

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but this looks to start with a sharp jump to a max value?? This is a bad idea... The excitation should always start smooth and never have jumps or steps that introduce high frequency oscillations! In general, using custom excitation correctly is not easy and you will ...

You can dump (that means store) any E- or H-field anywhere and in time- or frequency domain e.g. to an hdf5 file.
What you later on do with this data and how you visualize it, is completely up to you and your imagination...

You surely can simulate PCB's and its properties, including unwanted radiation. But of course (and this is true for any numerical solver) it all depends on the levels of details and (PCB) complexity if it can be done in a reasonable simulation time.

Hi, for r_0 and a_0 and a_max you should just define PEC (kind of the default as it is always there in any case)... e.g. BC = [0, 3, 0, 0, 3, 3] The engine should detect the grid type and implement the special boundary conditions as needed anyways. This function never creates a vtk file.
Maybe in your other script you use "DumpFF2VTK" as well?
As far as I see it, the ff-pattern should not care anymore what the FDTD mesh looked like...

Use the file "et" and converted to ef (frequency domain) no normalize out the effect of the excitation pulse amplitude. 2) That depends on what the script actually calculates.
