Re: TiXml error

Hi again, good to hear that you got it running. Since it is running for you, I suppose you don't need it ;) In my case, if I remove this line, openEMS is not executing since Matlab overrides this path to its own libs... The question is though, why is it running for you?? What Matlab version are you ...

Re: TiXml error

Hi, how did you install tinyxml? By package you mean from the distributions official packages or by git from openEMS?? Did you install the devel package? Because if you installed it by your package repositories, ld should find it and I don't understand why it doesn't... If you installed tinyxml from...

Re: Length units in openEMS

Hi Olf, thanks for reporting this problem. Yes the reason is the drop in energy. In the nf2ff calculations I use float and this is just dropping to 0 at one point... I have switched to use double in the future. I was saving some memory at the wrong end I guess. For you as a quick work-around, just i...

Re: Length units in openEMS

Hi,

it looks like a bug. Up to a factor of 1e5 everything is fine, but 1e6 doesn't work... strange...

I'll have look.

Re: CustomSource

Hello Meiyour, I'm not sure I understand. You can define a custom time signal as a string with the only variable defined by openEMS being "t". FDTD = SetCustomExcite(FDTD,1e9,'sin(2*pi*1e9*t)'); My question would be, why would you want to define a custom excite anyway? You are only making it much mo...

Re: Near Field to Far Field

Hi Olf, I'm happy to hear that you like openEMS ;) The nf2ff is (as the name implies) meant to calculate the far-field from the near-field. This is necessary to analyze the radiation of an antenna. But the calculation is very similar to the radar-cross-section calculation. P_rad usually (in case of ...

Re: No paraview display(par.plate waveguide),err.w/rec.waveg

Hi,

yes, maybe we do a try..catch and if it fails perform setup?

But what about the binary packages... I think a user can't execute "setup" because he isn't a root user ??

We really have to think about this topic...

Re: TiXml error

Hi Seb, that was my first though as well, but I checked, they use different class names... I think that he compiled (the right) tinyxml without stl support: in tinyxml.h: #ifndef TINYXML_INCLUDED #define TINYXML_INCLUDED +#ifndef TIXML_USE_STL + #define TIXML_USE_STL +#endif + #ifdef _MSC_VER ^^ Tha...

Re: TiXml error

Hi,

this is a strange error.
How did you install tinyxml? From the path it doesn't look like you installed it from some package...

Try using the version hosted on openems.de:

git clone git://openEMS.de/tinyxml.git

Re: Periodic/Bloch boundary conditions

Hi, I assume the frequencies specified (lines 30 and 31) in the RCS_Sphere example take into account the unit? no, the unit e.g. mm, is only applied for the geometrical primitives and the mesh... All frequencies, time, material constants or what-ever is defined without any normalization in SI base u...
