Re: A Luneburg Lens fed by an aperture patch antenna

Not sure if this is your question, but you can append this transforms to any primitive in openEMS (not only a box). Additionally you can use the priority concept to define a sphere and use a box to cut off half of it by using a higher priority and an "air" material. And by rotating the box you can c...

Re: A Luneburg Lens fed by an aperture patch antenna

Hi, good that you found the issue. By the way, do you know that openEMS supports coordinate dependent definitions? Maybe useful for your case? See "help SetMaterialWeight", but from the example: CSX = AddMaterial(CSX, 'material'); CSX = SetMaterialProperty(CSX, 'material', 'Epsilon', 1); CSX = SetMa...

Re: Recover output voltage waveform wrong amplitude

If you compare voltages of different simulations you need indeed normalize to "et" which is the excitation signal as this may have different amplitudes. Normally you don't need to do this if you divide voltages of the same simulation as this cancels out. But if you want to look at plain voltages or ...

Re: Accelerate initialization of many excitations

I think I was able to speedup the setup quit a lot. Please give the latest build a try.

I certainly need to make sure this has no unwanted side effect as this is a change in a dangerous place...

Re: Linux Server Installation: Error in CSXCAD/CSPrimPolyhedronReader.cpp

Both seems to be related to vtk9. vtk 9 is very new and I have never tried to build against version 9. I guess I will have to adapt to the new vtk as for many major new version before. I can only assume you build vtk yourself? I recommend to just use the distribution versions or at least try an olde...

Re: FDTD Computation Time Estimation

Hi, well you get the time it takes to calculate each step one the engine has started and run for a few seconds. Thus you can roughly calculate how long the excitation will take since that number is given during setup as well. But what nobody can estimate (without any prior experience with the given ...
