I also noticed, in the line you pasted, there is -wg.length+wg.length which is just 0! I was afraid that the parabola as a thin sheet may not mesh properly so I will make it a solid and check the PEC dump. I'll also add field monitors to view the fields over the whole structure. I tried the MUR BC and still got similar results. I think theres some issue with how I'm applying the excitation. Are there any examples you might have that use the standard excitation? I cant seem to make it work if I remove the Gaussian excitation line.

Thanks, I'll keep it at 8. For my work I've had to design feed antennas and polarizers with an xpol isolation of 30 to 35 dB for special antennas. It's quite difficult to measure and requires an open space or a good anechoic chamber but it is possible. The best I could do was 35dB for circular polar...

If going from a PML of 8 layers to say, 15 or 20, is there much to gain if looking for low cross polarization of an antenna if the cross polar levels are very low at about 30 to 35 dB below the co-pol level? Simulation time is not an issue so I don't mind if it takes longer to run.

I have attached the file. I can only get it to work with the Gaussian excitation, the standard excitation and its box are at lines 74 and 75. Thanks. The threads issue was a typo, it reported that it was an unrecognized command as I used a - instead of =. Silly mistake. The warning was obscured by the Task Manager window! Thats sorted.
